Although the Braeburn continues to do well, the bindweed in the bed below has discovered a new trick of grabbing hold of the lowest bough, winding around it and pulling it down to the ground.
While Mum does a proper hand fork weed of the front flower bed, I rip as many weeds as I can from all over the plot. They variously come up by the root, or just have their foliage/flowers broken off, but they all know my wrath at least.
